Judas Diary

Nineties band from Galway, Ireland 🤩

🎧 The Galway band Judas Diary was a “small orchestra” that emerged from the vibrant 1990s Galway scene, creating a sound that was, and remains, notoriously hard to pin down, often self-described as “psychedelic popsters” or an “ultra lounge cabaret sleaze.” With a sprawling line-up that could feature “up to 14 members on stage a night” and boasted a full brass section, two or three drummers, and a flute, their live shows were legendary, regularly “packing out The Roisín Dubh” with their “unique original sound.” Despite having “more band members than even we can remember,” they achieved significant recognition, even gambling “everything on the single ‘Jolie'” which landed them a major TV spot, cementing their status as a unique and influential anomaly in ’90s Irish music history.
